6x6" $100 oil on panel
I've spent alot of time watching surfers over the years and one thing is for sure - surfers spend alot of time watching the water. I love that.
12x12" oil on panel, $300
Here they are again - these 3 surfers. Ive painted them so many times they are like little friends.
This time I painted them for some print work - but here is the original ready to go to a new home.
6x6" In the soup - the surfer term for that frothy area after a wave breaks that you have to get through to get out to the waves. Always reminds me of the restaurant term 'in the weeds' ...in the thick of it, swamped, overwhelmed..... moms home with kids all this vacation week - this is you! In the soup - weeded :)
6x6" oil on masonite panel. Stepping In. Painting Winter Surfers again. Cant help it, they are fascinating, how they step into that icy water.... in this painting I'm in love with that wave to the right of the surfer....
6x6" oil on masonite "In the Soup" = a surfing term for being in the white foam of a wave after it has broken.
below is a 4x4" acrylic of Shadow, my sons classroom bear who spent the weekend with us. He just HAD to have his portrait painted, looking oh so dapper in his naval uniform :)
