Why - the mountains of course! colorado actually The painting is a little plein air of my sister's horse pasture and below some trip 'snapshots' ....we were deciding which way to go home when we saw the cloud....needless to say we went that way :)

I am often inspired by old black and white photos of people at the beach - and this is one of my favorites! I got a delightful comment by Mark Adams yesterday that reminded me of it, so I thought I'ld share....Isn't it fantastic? By the way if any of you have old beach photos you would like to share- send them to me! I'ld love to start posting them or using them for inspiration
24"x24" oil on board NFS My boys - big. Big- because our youngest is about to turn 10! (10,12 and 14 ) AND this is a 'big' painting for me...2 feet x 2 feet!! very fun, hope to do more when time allows. The cropped version is better - more interesting composition, think I'll paint it again...
