 Today is my teaching day - so no painting today.  But last week, I got to the beach and did a couple of quick plein air paintings.  It was 38 degrees and a little windy but I managed.  The above painting was my first.  Tomorrow I'll post the second I did - quicker and more simple - but I like it.

 my supervisor and my set up.  Sat in the sand with my box.  My french easel broke plus it was a little too windy.

Shell Seekers 2 - daily painting,beach scene

The Shell Seekers again...further away. Love these 2, havent gotten them out of my system yet...more to come I'm sure.

Used a palette knife on some of this. Loving it - loosens things up - more of that to come too

Winter Beach -daily painting,beach scene, plein air

10x10" oil on supported wood panel. $160 Barrington Beach in Winter. dropped boys off at school and headed to the beach for a plein air this morning. such a nice way to start the day.

I photograph my paintings outside and because of all the snow I'm gettiing alot of glare and am having trouble getting a good image. this needs to be tweeked but I'm busy working on a little something for my collectors....stay tuned :)
